Don't forget that this is the last week to submit Resolutions for the Ford 2011 National Contract as well as the 2011 R&E Local agreement. Resolutions must be submitted by Monday December 6, 2010. The Resolutions committee will review them and then bring them to the special Resolutions meeting on December 14, 2010 for Vote by the membership. Thank you!

As we pause this weekend to give thanks please keep our Brave Military Men and Woman in your thoughts and prayers. Give thanks for the great freedoms we have in this country, the love of Family and Friends and our health.

The 2010 UAW Ford Food and Clothing Drive will begin officially on Monday November 29, 2010. Donations are currently being accepted at Local 245. Please support this years drive by donating clothing new or used and/or non perishable food. Please remember to get your resolutions in soon. the deadline to submit resolutions is December 6, 2010!

HAPPY VETERANS DAY! Local 245 would like to THANK all of our Veterans for serving our great Country as well as THANK all of those currently serving. We also pause humbly to remember those who have given the ultimate Sacrifice. No amount of thanks seems fitting for what you have done or are doing but know that you are the True American Hero! May you have an enjoyable day and Thank you for your service!!

I am encouraging all R&E Unit Members to take advantage of the open resolutions period that we are in right now. Resolutions are being accepted for the 2011 National Ford Negotiations as well as the 2011 R&E Unit local negotiations. Resolution forms have been emailed out, are posted in buildings, are available at the R&E Unit committee room and are available at local 245. You may fill the forms out in great detail or with simply a sentence stating what you would like to see changed or modified. The resolutions committee will review them all and prepare them for delivery to the respectivebargaining committees. ALL RESOLUTIONS ARE DUE BY DECEMBER 6, 2010. A resolutions meeting will be held at Local 245 on December 14, 2010. This is the time to make our voices heard!! If you have any questions feel free to contact any rep for help!!
