I am receiving many calls with questions pertaining to the new Health Care legislation passed in Congress Sunday night and singed into Law yesterday by President Barack Obama. At this time we have been given no details about the bill. I continue to search for a summary of how the Bill will affect our members Retirees and your families as well as bargaining agreements. As always use extreme caution when listening to the media as they report their opinions on this new legislation. I will keep you posted on any progress and information that I may get. The General Membership Meeting will be this Sunday at 1 pm at Local 245 headquarters. This month will feature Wayne county Executive Robert Ficano as the guest speaker. We will also be voting on resolutions for the 35th UAW Constitutional Convention. Hope to see you there!
